About the Home Science Department
The Home Science Department of Mahabodhi Mahavidyalaya, Nalanda, is dedicated to empowering students—especially women—through scientific knowledge and practical skills for managing home, health, nutrition, child development, and community welfare. It integrates science with daily life to improve the quality of individual and family life.
The department offers interdisciplinary courses covering areas like food and nutrition, human development, textiles and clothing, resource management, and family studies. With a strong focus on research, creativity, and community engagement, the department encourages self-reliance, entrepreneurship, and professional growth among students.
